My dear friends, today my darling father passed away after being ill for a very long time. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. My parents have been gone for many years, and sometimes I wake those first moments in the morning expecting to hear the childhood sounds of them talking softly in the kitchen. He will be missed, but some things will always be with you.

Hi, I know I don't know you, but I read your blog and wanted to say what a lovely picture. My heart goes out to you today. And thanks for reminding me to call my own father this morning. Just to say I love him!

Oh Lydia, I am so sorry. Your father was a such charming man and he adored his youngest daughter and wasn't afraid to show it. The photograph of your parents is beautiful and shows their love for each other. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Jane

So sorry for your loss. It's always difficult to lose a parent. It is, however, the cycle of life. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My dear, as painful as mourning is, it is a fitting tribute to those we hold most dearly. The picture is wonderful. Perhaps it reflects his spiritual state now that he has been released from the rigors of illness.

I just wanted to say I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my father to cancer last year and his spirit is still with me. There are mornings when I wake up and I can smell pancakes cooking and hear his voice calling me out of bed. I am sending all my thoughts and prayers to you.
